Letter to Our Home

Dear house on Park Avenue,

I'm feeling a bit sad that we have to leave you. It's a bittersweet feeling. You were such a good home.

You were the place I shared my first kiss with my then-crush-now-husband.

You were where my first child spent his first night home from the hospital.

I spent many {fun} hours decorating you. And I loved your decor. It made me happy.

My son took his first steps in your family room.

Together as a family we shared many laughs within your walls.

I had several spiritual experiences while living within you that I don't want to ever forget.

Jess and I spent our first two years and nine months of marriage with you.

We also spent our first eighteen months as parents sheltered by you.

I endured my first pregnancy inside your warmth and protection.

So thank you for being such a good home.

We hope your new owners take good care of you.

Best,

Jess, Britney, Ryan, and Nash

Yes, that's right. The Gulbrandsen family has moved. We don't get into our new house until the end of the month, so we are currently living with my parents. As sad as we are to leave our ward and neighborhood, we know we made the right decision. Plus, we are only a few miles away! So we aren't leaving our friends. Yay!

P.S. I can't WAIT to redecorate our new place and turn it from house to home!
