The Beauty Mark is run by two best friends: Courtney and Hillary (or C & H). Courtney is a professional make-up artist and aesthetician. Hillary is a hairstylist. They are both wives, mothers, fashionistas, and beauty gurus!

I asked these girls a few questions and here are their {awesome} responses:

1. Name 2 celebrities with the best style? Why?

H: Modern day: Rachel Bilson- She is always so well put together. Love how she incorporates trendy items with classic pieces. She looks effortlessly flawless.

All time: Audrey Hepburn. I am irrevocably infatuated with anything and everything that she did.

C:  Blake Lively because her best friend is Karl Lagerfeld and she is practically swimming in Chanel. She is always fashion forward and pushes the envelope in a good way. Also, she is her own stylist and she pretty much always gets it right. It doesn't hurt that she is six feet tall and five feet of that is legs. I also really like Kate Middleton. She is such a class act and does a great job of mixing high end clothes with less expensive pieces. She always looks like a million bucks (well, more. because of those crown jewels and everything).  

2. If you could magically be a character from any movie or tv show for one day, who would you choose and why?

H:  Holly Golightly. Her, or Ariel. 

C:  I firmly believe that if reincarnation existed that I would come back as Reese Witherspoon as June Carter Cash in Walk the Line. That role was made for me. I'm a country singer at heart. Plus, her outfits are killer.  

3. What beauty tip was the most revolutionizing for you?

H:  Most revolutionizing beauty tip for me was realizing just how important a good styling technique is. A good blowout is life changing. The mop on your head is like an outfit you wear everyday. Be good to it. 

C:  A revolutionizing makeup tip for me is simple: Drink water!! My skin is clearer, I lose weight, and I am much happier when I am hydrated. Your face and body will thank you with beauty.  

4. Hillary: What is your favorite hair product line? Courtney: What is your favorite make-up line?

H:.My favorite product line? Right now...Morocaan Oil

C:  My favorite makeup line has to be MAC. They are revolutionary in their products, unmatched in their pigment and quality, and stand alone as the number one cosmetics company in the world (that's a real statistic).  

5. Money not being an issue, what are your 3 favorite stores to shop at?

H: JCrew, Madewell, Anthropologie. (see! I'm totally practical.)  

C:  Madewell, Nordstrom, J. Crew. Classics with a modern and trendy twist. 

 

6. And I just HAVE to ask: Blair or Serena?

H:BLAIR. duh.

C: Blair. She's my girl (disappointment in her wedding dress aside, of course.)
