What Have You Been Doing?

Okay. I know. Pardon me for not having ANY courtesy at all.

I don't blog for like...ever.

And then I storm in here and post some crazily expensive Christmas wish list -- which is so not like me. Believe it or not, I've never really asked for anything for Christmas, just ask my mother(but it was oh so fun!)

Who do I think I am?

I know you all were thinking...great wish list. But what have you been doing?

Right?

*Awkward silence*

Okay, so probably not.

But I'm going to tell you anyway.

Two weekends ago I had the AMAZING opportunity to go up to General Conference - for the first time. I was soooooo excited! It's something that I've always wanted to do, so of course the hubs said yes (even though I'm sure he'd rather have watched on the couch in the comfort of his g's).

So Thursday night...we flew up to Utah and stayed with James, April and the boys (who are still baking in the oven -- also knows as April's belly). Casey also flew up for a missionary reunion and stayed with them also. It was so fun to just hang out and spend time together. I miss them so much and I want them to move back here. ASAP. Seriously. And I want the boys to come. Because they are gonna be so cute. No lie.

Guess what? They actually have seasons in Utah. I'm not kidding. The leaves change colors in the fall. You wanna know how I know? Let me tell you...Friday we drove around and looked at all the pretty leaves. They were GORGEOUS. And it made me want to move there. But only for like a milisecond. Mesa/Gilbert = the best place to live. End of story. But....the leaves are amazing. And the weather is perfect. Okay, I'm done now.

Before the drive, we stopped off at this cute little fruit stand and took pictures and ate YUMMY YUMMY Utah peaches. Why does Arizona fruit just never taste as good as Utah fruit? Srsly. And the water. In Utah you can drink from the tap and it tastes soooo good. No lie. It's just not fair. Here it's sicknastiness. Brushing your teeth in Utah is a whole new experience. Moving on.

After the leaves we ate at this fabulous restaraunt called Tucano's and I seriously ate more than I ever have in my whole life. I don't even know how I managed to stuff it all in there. Then I felt really, really sick. But it was so worth it. Because the food rocked. And then we watched a scary movie called The Uninvited. So good. I loved it. Scary movies in October = the best thing ever. Jess and I are watching LOTS. But that's a-whole-nother blog.

On Saturday morning Jess and I headed to conference. And let me just say that it was AMAZING. It was such a great feeling to be in the same room as the prophet and apostles. I had the chills the whole time. Those men amaze me.

After that, Jess drove me around and showed me his old BYU apartments and hang outs. It was so fun to hear him recall memories and to see where he used to hang out. I loved watching him walk down memory lane and to picture his cute self back in the day. So fun.

Sunday we just hung out and watched conference all together and then we headed home. It was a fun little trip!

***Side note: Sorry for the crappy un-edited pictures. I don't have time to edit them, nor do I feel like it. So you are left with the originals taken from my crappy camera.

Tomorrow: a fun project...i LOVE it.

Saturday: Halloween decor

  4. Sooooo fun! I have always wanted to go to conference as well... well eversince I joined the church, that is. Anyway, I have to agree with you about the changing leaves... that is one of the ONLY things I love about living up here in MT! The leaves are absolutely gorgeous, and that is why I fought the weather to take pictures in the leaves for my engagement pics. haha. Anyway... super cute post and I LOVED your christmas list... even if it was a little far-fetched.
