Newport Beach and Christmas
Yes, my parents and April and James all ventured off to California on the 13. Why was I not with them? Well...I had three finals still to conquer (and conquer them I did...straight A's baby!). But on Wednesday, Jess and I drove up to meet them and stay the weekend in gorgeous Cali. On Thursday Prilly, James, Jess, and I all went to the happiest place on earth: Disneyland. It wasn't crowded at all so we basically walked on to everything. It was a FABULOUS day. Then Friday we hung out and had our Christmas celebration with April and James because they were unable to make the trip down to AZ for the big day. We went to brunch and to a movie and just relaxed. On Saturday we had to return home...but Jess and I went to the beach and took a walk before and hit the Palm Springs Outlets on the way home. :] It was such a fun trip!
And Christmas. SOOO FUN. Christmas Eve I went to Grandma Websters for our traditional festivities. We ate yummy subs, laughed, played with the kids, what not. Then it was time for the cousin re-enaction of the nativity. We all got dressed up...shepards, angels, Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, wise men, and Moses? Yes, Moses joined the nativity this year. You see, years ago when all the boys would fight over who got to play Joseph, my cousin Adam started to make-up funny new parts to act out in order to cut out jealousy. So one year he was a lamb, a tree, the innkeeper, frankensence (wrapped himself in wrapping paper), the star (wrapped himself in Christmas lights and plugged himself in). This year, he got dressed in shepard type clothing and grabbed two pieces of cardboard and scribbled Roman numerals up to 10 on them. Part-way through our scripture/song filled nativity scene, h e walked in and exclaimed, "Part the Red Sea! These are the 10 commandments!" Everyone looked around confused. He went on, "Wait, who are you guys? Is that the baby Jesus? I guess I'm a little late...but hey, can I stick around and hang out? I've always wanted to see this!" The whole family busted up laughing. I don't know what Christmas Eve would be like without Adam. He is fabulous!
Christmas Day was great. Santa's gifts/stockings. Traditional breakfast (cinnamon rolls, eggs, and orange smiles). Family gifts. Then the parents went to the Suns game and Jesse and I exchanged our gifts before we went to have lunch with his family. He got me a way cute Juicy Couture necklace that I love. And orange sweat pants from Victoria's Secret because he knew I wanted some. Also he got me a Jack-in-the-Box...which is so much fun! One night we were watching Elf and I mentioned that I've always wanted one so he found one for me. So cute. After lunch, Jess and I went and saw Bedtime Stories (very cute) and then I headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Pete's for our white elephant gift exchange and festivites. It was way fun playing with the Hogle girls and spending time with my cousins. Great people. :] To finish off the day we (Jess, my parents and I) went and saw Marley and Me---which was amazing. Loved it. Ah. I'm sad Christmas is over. But it's something to look forward to in one more year!

Happy Birthday Jess!
Well... Jesse turned 26 on Thursday. And on his 26th birthday, we were on our 26th day of dating (which felt more like 26 weeks). Ironic? Yes. Very. Creepy? Perhaps. Fun? Definitely.
For those of you who don't know...I have been dating an amazing boy for the past month (yes, today is our one month anniversary). His name is William Jess although everyone calls him Jesse. And yes, he's much older than I am. At first, this was a little weird for me, hi
m and my parents. But we are all over it. So don't question. James is ten years older than April and they get along just fine. :]
I know. I know. It's VERY uncommon for me to blog about a boy. Or to actually admit to liking one. But he is fabulous. And for those of you who haven't met him or gotten to spend much time with him, I hope you do soon! You will love him! :]
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSE!
For his birthday I did a couple of different things. In the morning I dropped off sugar cookies and a cute singing card. Then, that night came the real gift. I made a cute little book for him, sharing 26 things I love about him. With a few of the things I had a special gift. Then we spent time opening the presents and reading the reasons (with a kiss after each!). It was very fun and a great night. I'll post pictures here of all the pages in the book.

Okay...that's the book. I think he liked it
;)
